Happy Chinese Year in Auckland!

Do you know that the Sky Tower is 15 + years old? Yes, it is one of the icons in Auckland. At special times throughout the year the Sky Tower lights up certain colours to show support for a range of activities. These range from annual calendar events, community partnerships and sporting events. Sky Tower is now lighting up in red and gold to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

From Sky Tower website: 'It is a truly captivating experience visiting Auckland's Sky Tower. At 328 metres, it is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and offers breathtaking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction. You can  travel up in the glass-fronted lifts to one of the three spectacular viewing platforms, or for more thrills and excitement, you can SkyWalk round the pergola at 192 metres up or SkyJump off the Tower!' Watch a video from one of our former students (and intern!!) in YouTube here.

The Sky Tower visit is one of the activities included in our Teenage Programme. It is also included in the Afternoon Activities for adults. Going up with Dominion is the cheapest way to do it  for students as we can offer them a special group rate - be aware that not everybody has to jump off when visiting the Sky Tower: the SkyWalk and SkyJump options are optional and an extra discount fee will incur for our students.
